Terms of Service

By creating a Plumb account, submitting a drawing for review, or otherwise using the services offered at plumbreview.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Plumb is operated by BKM Ventures LLC (“Plumb,” “we,” “us”).

Plumb is an automated drawing-review platform that produces structured findings on fabrication shop drawings submitted by you. Each review consists of: (a) a marked-up PDF with numbered findings; (b) an Excel comments file; and (c) where applicable, a Tier-3 specification-compliance matrix.

Important — Plumb is a documentation review service, not an engineering service. Plumb does not provide structural, mechanical, electrical, or any other engineering opinions, calculations, or certifications. Findings flagged with the [PE] indicator are explicitly noted as requiring review by a licensed Professional Engineer of record. The Engineer of Record retains sole responsibility for the structural adequacy and code compliance of any project reviewed by Plumb.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Plumb’s findings are based on documentation completeness, consistency, and conformance to industry standards (AISC, AWS, AWI, AAMA, ASTM, and others as applicable).
• Plumb does NOT certify drawings as safe to fabricate, install, or permit.
• Plumb does NOT provide engineering judgment on structural adequacy, life safety, code compliance, or material/connection capacity.
• You are solely responsible for verifying any Plumb finding against the actual drawings and the project’s engineering and code requirements before acting on it.
• Plumb may produce findings that are incorrect, incomplete, or that miss material issues. You agree that the cost of any such error is bounded by Section 9 (Limitation of Liability) below.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate account information.
• Keep your password secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.
• Use the Service only for legitimate fabrication-drawing review purposes.
• Not upload drawings you don’t have the right to share, including drawings subject to NDAs that prohibit cloud-AI review.

One Plumb account corresponds to one fabrication shop. You may add team members to your account (when that feature is available); each team member acts under the shop’s subscription.

Subscription plans (Standard, Shop, Studio) are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. The included sheet quota resets at each billing-period start. Unused sheets roll over one period. Sheets submitted over quota are billed as overage at the per-sheet rate published on the pricing page at the time of submission.

Express ($99/package)is a one-time purchase covering up to 50 sheets per package. Express orders carry a money-back guarantee — if you find the review unhelpful, email us within 14 days at hello@plumbreview.com for a full refund.

Free trials. Subscription plans offered with a free trial require a payment method up front. We will not charge you during the trial. The plan converts to a paid subscription at the trial end date unless you cancel before then.

Cancellation. You may cancel any subscription at any time via the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods.

Your drawings. You retain all intellectual-property rights in the drawings you submit. Plumb is granted a limited, non-exclusive license to process those drawings solely for the purpose of producing and delivering your review.

Your findings. Once produced, the findings, marked-up PDF, and Excel comments file produced by Plumb are yours to use within your fabrication-review workflow.

The Plumb platform. The Plumb system prompt, reference library, schema, build pipeline, and all related software are the exclusive property of Plumb. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, scrape, or redistribute these materials.

Drawings you submit are treated as confidential. Plumb processes them through industry-standard subprocessors listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your drawings with third parties beyond what is necessary to deliver the review.

Source drawings are deleted from Plumb-controlled storage 30 days after upload.

Deliverable PDFs and Excel files are retained on Plumb-controlled storage for 90 days from delivery, after which the dashboard download links expire and the files are deleted. Customers are responsible for archiving deliverables they need long-term.

Account metadata (project names, sheet counts, statuses, costs) is retained for the life of your account plus 1 year for audit and accounting purposes.

You agree not to use Plumb to:

• Upload drawings subject to NDAs or government classifications that prohibit cloud-AI processing.
• Reverse-engineer or stress-test Plumb’s system prompt, library, or guardrails.
• Generate findings to misrepresent or defame third parties.
• Attempt to exceed your sheet quota by abuse of refund or rollover mechanisms.
• Resell Plumb’s output to third parties as if it were original engineering work.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” PLUMB MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLUMB’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID PLUMB IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM. IN NO EVENT WILL PLUMB BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR REWORK COSTS ATTRIBUTABLE TO A MISSED OR INCORRECT PLUMB FINDING.

You agree to indemnify and hold Plumb harmless from any third-party claims arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your unauthorized upload of drawings; or (c) your use of any Plumb finding in a manner inconsistent with Section 3 (Engineering Boundary Disclaimer).

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or for non-payment after written notice. You may cancel your account at any time. Outstanding Service obligations (delivered reviews, paid-up periods) survive termination.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida.
